The boat was constructed with grit built into the gelcoat around the deck to provide a non-slip surface. Eventually this wears off and the deck could become slippery so it's time to re-paint using special deck paint, adding a little grit which retains the grip.

Deck paint is available from the Freeman Shop in many shades. A special Freeman Stone (cream) deck paint is available for the new style range boats.
